Notice Regarding Class Management in an Emergency or During University Events

1.When the Japanese Government Issues the Tokai Earthquake Alert Order

The university will be closed immediately following an alert order by the government for a major earthquake in the Tokyo / Tokai region. Once the alert order is called off, the Keio class management plan will be notified to all members of the university via its websites and other means.
 

2.When Public Transport is Suspended Due to Natural Disaster or Major Accident

Classes may be cancelled when public transport stops due to natural disaster, such as typhoon, heavy rain/snow, earthquake, or other major accidents. In all such cases, measures to manage classes will be notified to all members through the following website and other medium. 
 
Note: If an emergency occurs during school hours, class hours may be shortened. Please follow the instructions notified on the bulletin boards, websites and on-campus public address system.

3.Waseda-Keio Baseball Game/s

Waseda-Keio Baseball Games known as Soukeisen are held every Spring (end of May - beginning of June) and Fall (end of October - beginning of November). Usually the games are held during weekends. Graduate and undergraduate classes on the day of the game will be cancelled. When the game is cancelled due to rain, classes will be held as usual.
 
When the game falls on the following Monday due to rain or a tie result, ONLY undergraduate classes will be cancelled and graduate classes will be held as usual. 
 
When the game falls on Tuesday or later, class information will be notified on the SFC website.
No make up classes are necessary for the classes cancelled due to Waseda-Keio baseball Game(s).
Any change on the class schedule will be posted on "News & info" for students at SFC website.
Note: Practical training classes of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care will be held regardless of the game schedule.

4.Mita Festival

Graduate and undergraduate classes will not be held for approximately one week (including preparation and clean-up periods) during the Mita Festival at the end of November. No makeup classes are required for the classes cancelled due to the event. 
 
Note: Practical training classes of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care will be held as usual.
 

5.Other

The University is closed on January 10 (Founder’s Birthday) every year.
